This Saturday the 7th of January marks my first set at the official Sydney Dance Party (herein written as SDP) at The Abercrombie. SDP is a free party that Chux & Slow Blow have been throwing in courtyard at the Abercrombie. The sound system is bumping, and of course there are smoke machines, lasers & babes.
To mark the occasion, I got together with the king of the SDP to throw together the 4th mix in the Cassian Presents series. Charles Renoit was going to do this one with Chux but he is currently unavailable, I understand he is in a Balinese villa taking part in a month long silence retreat.
If you are unfamiliar with Charlie Chux, first of all shame on you and secondly, you are missing out. Chux is a DJ & producer based in Sydney and he is darn good at both of these things. I was lucky enough to hear some of the tunes this man is working on and you don't want to miss them when they come out!
In summary, I implore you (if you are based in Sydney, or are able to catch a plane, boat or train there in time) to get down (and then get up) to SDP at The Abercrombie on Saturday the 7th of Jan. It's free, the music is rocking (in a good way), there are 2 seriously legit internationals doing secret shows and Chux will be there. I'm on around 10.
